How many newborn outfits/sleepers? I’m having my second boy, but donated pretty much all of newborn to 6 to 9 months clothing. How long do babies typically stay in the newborn size? I was thinking, maybe 10 little onesies and pants/shorts. Is that way underestimating? Lol

I wasn’t prepared for my daughter. She was induced 3 weeks early and we had almost no newborn clothes. My parents and in laws actually had to go out and buy her things then bring them to the hospital so we could go home. I will probably make sure to have at least 15 outfits/sleepers for my son. I like to have at least 2 outfits per day and at least 1 week worth of clothes. He will probably spend most of his day in pajamas or plain white onesies so nothing fancy but still need something for a few weeks.

depends on the baby. some don't even fit in them at all. I'd guesstimate around a month ish.

My babies were in newborn clothes longer than I anticipated. I always had less than 10 and we barely made it with that number.

For my son, I had 3 of the dress like sleepers, 3 footie PJs, and 6 onesies and pants. He was out of newborn clothes within two weeks 🤦♀️

I have a thing for washing clothes constantly so it worked out fine 😂 he outgrows things so fast that it's not even worth having much in each size. He is one now, and wearing 2T clothes. He's been in 2T since 10 months and that's the longest he's gone in one size.

People told me with my girls not to worry about nb size because they barely wear it but both my girls were were born past their due date and wore nb for over a month. My first actually wore preemie for a week or so and she was born at almost 41 weeks!!! Also for me personally, clothes is one thing I don’t mind having too much of. Having a lot means you don’t have to do laundry as often. And in those first couple months that’s really helpful.

Honestly depends on your baby, my child didn’t fit in any of the newborn outfits we were gifted. Honestly I would buy one or two this time around and wait and see once baby is born if I need more or not

My two wore newborn for about the first month (3 weeks with my second who was 8lbs at birth). Depends how often you’ll do laundry but I’d figure 1-3 zip sleepers a day.

I would just have a couple onesies and zip sleepers on hand and get more if you need. It's so hard to say. My babies are always about 6 1/2 lbs, but grow fast, so we only need them for two weeks or so. But I have friends whose babies were so big they started with 3 month clothes. On the other hand, my niece was 5lbs and had trouble gaining weight at first, so she was in newborn until she was about 3 months old.
